The benefits of VITAL multivitamins

Pele takes Vital Reds

We’ve all know we need multivitamins and that a balanced diet is fundamental to that and as part of our wellness. One key reason is that your body needs a multitude of nutrients to feed its everyday functions. These functions protect you from illness and give you the energy you need to power your body and brain.

Sometimes, it can be hard to ensure your diet is enriched with vitamins and minerals. This is especially difficult when leading busy lives or training intensely for an event or goal. Our bodies need high quality fuel, and even more so when you’re a performance focused individual.

We created Vital to help you stay on top of your metabolic wellness. Our multivitamin supplement supports a healthy immune system, plus contains probiotics to maintain optimum gut health. Evidence suggests a healthy gut and a strong immune system are both surefire ways to help you stay well. This means we can avoid sickness and be at our optimal best.

To help you understand our multivitamin supplement a little better, we’ve answered some frequently asked questions below.

Are multivitamins good for you?

While we always encourage a healthy, balanced diet to get your required nutrients.  Multivitamins can be a great way to ensure you enrich your body with vitamins and minerals while on-the-go. You should never use any type of supplement as a replacement for a healthy diet, but lots of people find it difficult to eat a healthy balanced diet every day.

Research found that nearly 50% of adults in the UK ate less than three portions of fruits and veg per day. If we don’t get an adequate amount of nutrients, this can lead to a wide range of health issues. Taking multivitamins can help ensure you boost your intake of required nutrients, no matter how busy your day might be.

Who should take multivitamins?

It’s important for everybody to get the required amount of vitamins daily, but certain populations who might benefit from regular supplementation, including:

  • Older people – as we age, it can become harder for us to absorb certain nutrients, including vitamin B12.
  • People with allergies and intolerances – this can be difficult as you may have to avoid a certain selection of foods that provide nutrients.
  • Vegetarians and vegans – these types of diets may restrict the intake of certain nutrients that are found in animal products.
  • Children between six months to five years old – it is recommended that children of this age take regular supplementation of vitamins such as Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Vitamin D.

Why are multivitamins good for bodybuilding?

The diet needed to sustain a bodybuilding regime should include a wide range of nutrients, vitamins and minerals and enough high quality calories. These calories are to fuel your training schedule. Modern-day diets are often lacking in these areas, and this can lead you to feel drained and low in energy if you’re training daily.

Vitamins play a key role in terms of muscle growth and recovery. They help you develop muscle mass and help fortify your immune system. When combined this ensures you can keep training for longer and harder. It also means your gains won’t be hindered by a body lacking in nutrients and restricting the quality of your muscle mass.

When to take multivitamins?

We recommended that you take your Vital multivitamin supplement once a day and in the morning. Taking them in the evening may even stimulate your brain and lift your energy levels, making it harder to fall asleep.

Both reds and greens come in powder format and will last 30 days with the recommended dosages.
